11 month won't stay asleep
« on: January 05, 2017, 22:23:51 pm »
Hi I'm new to this and I'm looking for help regarding my 11month daughter. Bedtime is becoming a nightmare. She goes to sleep but wakes frequently screaming and the only way to settle her is to put her on our bed. We are now finding it is getting longer to settle her meaning she is waking more to stay longer on our bed. How can I settle her as she screams the whole place down and stands up in her cot when we have tried control crying etc

Hi welcome to BW

Can you post what your routine looks like in the EASY format. It could be that some tweaks can be made to her routine to help with the night troubles you're having.
At this age babies start the transition from 2 naps to 1 and this often leads to bedtime resistance or waking in the night.

Also just to make you aware here at BW we don't support controlled crying or CIO as Tracy believed it broke the trust between parent and baby.  What we can help with though are some other methods to help LO sleep which are less stressful to baby.
