Wackadoo 15 month old
« on: February 05, 2017, 19:00:03 pm »
Hi there.  My 15 month old has been wacky in her naps for the last two weeks.  She sleeps through the night and she has been refusing a second nap for this time as well.

Her regular day has been
Wake 730
Nap 1230 (sleeping for 20-40m)
Bed 730

She needs more sleep.  We try to put her down for another nap 3 hours after she "wakes" from her nap, but she does nottt give in to it at all.  We are at a loss and don't know how to help her get back on track!

Have you tried bringing the nap forward by 15/30 mins just in case it's OT making her short nap or has she got any teeth poking through?

She originally napped at 12 and was doing the same thing, so I pushed it back to 1230.

No signs of teething. Top molars popped through already.

That's what I thought too, but it's 5 hours. And she's only 15 months... What's an appropriate wake time?

I don't mind having her be up longer, but now I'm nervous that it's starting a cycle of OT considering the short nap/refusal of 2nd nap (and today she woke up an hour earlier  (630a)).

I'd say your looks pretty good time wise but all are different, what about just adding 15 mins on see what happens after say 4-5 days?

At 15 months I would definitely be looking to just 1 nap, mine at this were probably doing 11.45-1.45 nap but in a 6.30 wake up. When we first dropped to one nap we did have shorter days too.
