Occasional no nap day 18 months -2 yrs
« on: February 19, 2017, 10:35:58 am »
Hi,
Again I'm just putting feelers out as we are planning lots of trips away in out caravan, one of which to a kids festival in may. Little girl will be 21 months then so I was wondering if she would want to nap or whether it's wise to let her keep going without. We are taking her older cousin who is 3 and doesn't nap anymore. I'd like to avoid massive overtired crashing if possible as we're in our caravan  :o
Thanks guys x

It depends on her Honey and her sleep needs and if she is prone to OT. My son wouldn't cope with NND before 30+months but he was doing occasional short naps of 30-45min and was fine if he had the opportunity to catch up next day.

Thanks hun.
Typically she chose today to try and given a whirl!!
She had a tiny 20 min nap on the way to drop daddy at the airport, woke at around 10:40.
Usually she would then go off around 13:00, especially in the car, for about an hour. Well I've driven and driven and the little madam has literally nodded off after 45 mins driving!
As she is already a madam at bedtime she will be getting woken after 30 mins and hopefully a nice early bedtime.
Bloody toddlers sleep is more stressful than baby sleep!

Ha ha ha, it is hun.
She's 18 months at the end of the month.
Usually she wakes any time between 6 and 7, mostly around 6:30-6:45.
She has her nap after lunch about 12-12:30 for anything between 1:30 and 2 hrs. This all depends on where she is. At home she naps in her cot, if we're out she will nap in the car and at daycare she only naps an hour on a floor mat, again after lunch around midday.
Bedtime is usually around 7-7:30 depending on what time she has gotten up in the morning.
