9 week old first nap
« on: March 25, 2017, 13:50:06 pm »
My LO wakes or is woken between 745-8am.  For 4/5 days I had great luck with putting him down around an hour after he woke and he would self settle and fall asleep at 1hr 15.  He sucks his hands to soothe.

At night he falls asleep independently around 830 although this takes him some time of falling asleep if and waking back up then resettelling himself.  He wakes twice between 1-3 and 5-6.   I don't do dreamfeed as I can't stay much past 9 anyway!

Lately his morning nap has been bad,  I've put him down around 1hr noticing the odd yawn.  But altrhough he still falls asleep independently he can't stay asleep.  He doesn't cry although today I have in after 25 mins and settled him by giggling in the crib.  He sleeps - when he can fall asleep for this nap for 30 mins.  Whereas before it was 1-1.5 hours.

With the bad morning first nap I can never get back on track and we are left with fighting naps and ending up with 30 mins naps all day.

 Any ideas ?

Yeah I wondered but wouldn't that make for a very long awake time ? Today he fell asleep with my help settling in the crib 1hr and a 30 mins after waking.  Shockingly he slept for almost and hour and a half.

Some mornings I think his issue might be overtired as he seems upset when I put him down.i just can't time it right !
