Nights have gone downhill at 9 weeks
« on: March 28, 2017, 02:58:31 am »
I was getting a long first stretch between the last feed of the day and first night feed of around 6-8 hours.  My LO was going to bed around 8-830 with his last feed around 715- it just takes a while for him to finish and settle.
Over the last few days wakes ups have made moves earlier, tonight he woke at 1030, seemingly starving.   He then can sleep 3-4 hours before his next wake up. Previously he would wake 1-3am and 5-6am with a start of 745-8am for thhe day.
FYI his penultimate feed is either 5 or 6 depending on his naps.
He naps well most days, most naps are 1-2 hours.

This doesn't feel like a growth spurt, any ideas?

Maybe wonder week related? 8 weeks is during a "stormy" period. And mental development can cause hunger for some babies. Not quite as pronounced as growth spurts. If it passes in a week or so, that's probably what it is. I would definitely feed if lo will take one heartily as he is still so little, but you could try soothing in another way during the night hours he used to sleep through before offering a feed.
