14 month old, dropping a feed
« on: April 07, 2017, 03:45:14 am »
I was nursing my almost 14 month 4 times a day and sometimes once at night.  She nursed at wake up, and about 11 am, 3 pm and before bed, around 7.

Yesterday I started giving her lunch at 11 am instead of nursing her so her new feeding schedule is:
~ 6:30 am wake and nurse
8 am breakfast
11 am lunch
12 nap
1:30/2 nurse
3 pm snack
5:30 pm dinner
6:45 nurse and bed

Does this seem sufficient for a 14 month old?  Despite being nursed at 2-ish and a snack at 3, she's been wanting to nurse right after dinner for some reason.  Assuming it will take a few days adjustment but wanted to check on here first.

Thanks!

Is there any reason why you want/need to drop a feed? If she's still asking for 4 feeds I'd just go with it for now. My oldest was on 2 BFS a day by this age but my younger 2 were still on 4 feeds for a while longer.  All toddlers are different really.
