8 week old on a 2-hour routine, need help making it longer
« on: April 08, 2017, 15:51:23 pm »
Hello,

This board has been immensely helpful with my now-4-year-old and I'm hoping to get help my 2nd time around.

My 8 week old girl is on a 2 hour EASY routine. Her naps never go longer than an hour (usually closer to 45 min) and you can set a clock by her that she will want to eat every 2 hours. I'm not sure how to move towards the 3 hour EASY at this point or should I wait until she's older? She also doesn't go longer than 3.5 hours at night and wakes up at different times every night. She is formula fed at night so I feel like she should be able to sleep longer at this point. Any help appreciated.

Have you thought about increasing her A time a bit? It's quite normal that after a tad shorter A when you have a UT nap when they wake they usually want to eat, it's easier to have 3h feeding gaps if they sleep longer:). However still 2,5h can be normal at that age with BF.
