13 month old 2 to 1 nap help
« on: May 03, 2017, 10:49:44 am »
Hi again all, DD is now in the 2 to 1 transition at 13 months. With a little bit of tweaking we still have 2 naps but are getting earlier and earlier wake ups. About 6 weeks ago we had to cap the morning nap to 30mins to ensure a decent afternoon nap. This is complicated by doing the school run. Our easy generally looks like this;
Wu 5.30
E
A
S 9.30-10am
E
A
S 12.30-2.15(woken as have to do school run)
E
A
Bedtime 6-6.30pm usually desperate for bed but can chat for up to 30mins. Generally no night waking s except if teething. We struggle to keep her up past 6.30 and can be grumpy from 5pm onwards until we put her to bed

So wake up this morning was 5 am, it has been getting earlier each week. What should be my next move? Any advise or insight would be greatly appreciated

Hi I'd say you need to start pushing BT a little later as 11 hours overnight sleep isn't bad with 2.5 hours day sleep.

Maybe just try adding 15 mins on at night hold for 3 days and move again x

It seems like we have a same problem.

We have noticed, pushing BT by 15min helps a little. But only if you do it starting with dinner and bath time. What I mean is, you have to push whole BT routine by 15min. Our little one ate 5.30pm, then bath 6.30pm and BT was 6.45-7pm. Now its 6pm, 6.30pm and BT is 7.15pm. She still wakes up around 6pm, but before moving her BT routine she was up for sure at 5am.

Hope this helps :)

... dealing with 5.20-5.30 EW for the last week... ughhhhh
