11 weeks old early waking won't feed
« on: July 09, 2017, 06:07:28 am »
Hi!
Recently my 11week old twins have taken to waking very early when they would be due a feed, except they dont want to feed, they seem to want to play and then go back to sleep without feeding. Generally the wake a few times each and have small frequent bottle feeds so I can't understand why A) they wake so early and B) they dont want to feed? Its the same with or without a DF. They feed approx 3-5oz, 2.5-3 hourly in the day. Here is two nights below:

Example 1:
1930 asleep following feed and bath
2230 DF 4oz each
0200 2oz each
0430 awake, not interested I'm food, approx 1oz each reluctantly
0630 asleep
0800 large feed, back on track for the day

Example 2:
1830 large feed 4oz, difficult to settle, asleep at 2030
2100 large feed 4oz no DF as absolutely shattered and asleep!
0115 twin two 1.5oz
0215 twin one 4oz
0220 twin two 1oz
0415 twin two awake 1oz
0445 twin one awake not hungry
0645 asleep, have not fed
0715 twin one 4oz

Am lost!! Once they are awake we can't get them back to sleep and end up waking the other twin with the crying as they fight It. over 24hrs they tend to take about 20-24oz but I can't get them to take bigger feeds.

Thanks for any help out there!

At that age Honey it probably is a routine thing. I would bet they sleep too much during the day (5-5,5h)?
