Another 10month old- bad night time sleep!

Twosweetgirls:
hello! I have been reading other posts for advice for my daughter who is almost 10months old.  She has been a  poor sleeper since 3.5 months.  I know her wake ups at this point must be just what she's used to.  She eats a lot when I feed her but really I want to put the calories in her during the day instead of night! Way to old for this.  Anyways, recently I just made her an independent sleeper during the day with a schedule that I think works.  I have company off and on for the rest of summer so I don't think I can do an all at once break habits style.  Any ideas as to ways to improve how long she goes at night?  heres a typical scenario.  (typical as in the last week)

7am wake up
730 solids breakfast
920 breastfeed
950-1030 nap (I wake her up because we have to go)
1030 breastfeed
1230 breastfeed
1-3/330 nap (she has gone as long as 3 hours because she was tired out from the schedule not being this schedule!)
330 breastfeed
530 solids supper
730 breastfeed and then night routine
800 asleep
wakes up about every 3 hours, has gone as little as 2, or as long as 4 hours (I feel this is dependent on how well we have stuck to her schedule)

I can see that her breastfeeding is still somewhat close to her nap time.  I am trying to give more time between her feed and nap but it used to be her sleep prop so I am doing a slow change for that.  I get her up and walk and do something with her after I feed her, often see her sisters or something.

Any ideas how to adjust her nighttime needs without it being an all or nothing sort of thing?

Im having similiar problems.  The main advice Im gettinf is to extend bub's wake times. At this age we should be aiming for about 4hrs wake time between naps, even more. Try increasing wake times slowly over a few days and see what happens.

How did you get her sleeping independently? As in what settling method did you use?

Do you just feed her at every NW? Have you tried settling her without feeding?

Twosweetgirls:
are you thinking to do a longer activity no matter how long the nap is? I can push the times a bit and see how things go! She falls asleep so easily I figured that meant the activity time was good!! Also, I got her to fall asleep independently by doing my routine and then resettling her with shh pat.  I'm planning to use that at night time soon but just have to set up some help for me to nap during my 3 day fix. So I'm planning ahead for a 3 day fix. I'd love some feed back as to how to go about it!! Right now she doesn't know how to fall back asleep without being nursed. So I do that 5 or so times a night!! Any ideas how to start? Just jump in the first day and shh pat till she's made it 7 hours without milk? Or do I just do it till I've stretched her 4 hours and then the next night 5 hours and the next 6? I can't decide which way is better!

Sorry, what did you decide to do?
