I wouldn't keep extending unless we completely rule it out, which after 3 days you don't see an improvement suggests he doesn't need the longer A time.  Yes, could you please copy paste the nap portion of your response to naps? I want to see if anyone else sees something... thanks!

Just a gentle reminder that around 6 months, he might be waking in the night due to hunger.  If you notice he's eating more or wants to eat more frequently, try to feed him once when he wakes and cries and see how he does.  Doing this for a couple nights won't hurt, but it might help him settle and sleep past that 5am hr.
