Physically suffering... Not sure if it is nursing related...
« on: November 05, 2017, 14:22:12 pm »
My LO is 13 months and I have been back to work for 1 month now. She still breastfeeds at wake up and BT, occasionally in late afternoon if I need her to take a cat nap.

Since I have been back to work I have not felt well... Starving all the time, headache, dizzy (low Blood sugar I assume). I remember this feeling when I first started breastfeeding, but have not experienced this since she was a newborn.

I bring lots of snacks to work and eat a good breakfast and lunch.

Has anybody else experienced this? It is pretty extreme. I have made a DR appointment just in case.

I can't seem to eat enough or often enough.

Not pregnant again are you?

I've not had that from BFing. I hope the Dr can help.

I wonder about pregnancy too... and worth considering menstruation if that's in the picture. If its heavy, these can be symptoms.

My period has not yet returned. It is unlikely that I am pregnant.

I will see what the Dr. Says, in the meantime I have stocked my desk at work with snacks.

Any idea what your iron levels are? Worth discussing anaemia and perhaps thyroid function with the Dr.

Not sure, but those are some things I hope my blood work will address
