15mth old still not sleeping through
« on: November 29, 2017, 04:21:27 am »
Oh come on, this is crazy!! While my little guy had issued with growth and low vitamins, this is all under control now. Seeing his growth wasnt great, i fed at night and he would take a lot. Now, he doesnt need it. He has a little suckle. It now seems more of a comfort thing.  When i put him down, he wakes but i give him his pacifier and he goes back to sleep.  How can i now wean these 2 night feeds?
EASY
6.30/7  Wake
12.30pm-2ish Nap (self settles with pacifier)
6.45pm milk feed
7pm bed (self settles with pacifier)
Wakes around 4-5hrly for a feed. Has a suckle, I put him down and he fights. Give him pacifier and sit next to his cot. He goes to sleep soon after.

What should I do next? A couple of weeks ago he slept through the night once for the first time on his life.

Is he getting plenty of solids during the day? Is someone else able to go to him at night so he starts to disassociate NWs with a feed?

Thanks for your response. He is getting lots of solids, especially carbs and protein during the day. I'm also giving him formula too.

You are right. I might have to get my husband to go in for the NW.  Would it work if I went in, but didn't get him up? Or do you think he will cry for hours?

I'd be tempted to send your husband in if that was a feasible option!
