9 months old feeding schedule
« on: December 18, 2017, 15:08:09 pm »
Hi,

I'm gettig slightly worried about my baby's milk intake.
He is 9 months old and tipically only takes one breast per feed.
The last 2 days he's been feeding leass breastmilk.
This was our feeding routine before:
night/early morning feed anywhere between 3-5 am Right Breast
wake up 6.30ish - feed Left breast
wake from first nap around 11 am - feed Right Breast
wake from second nap around 4am - feed Right Breast again (this breast has always produced double the milk amount the left one does)
7/7.30 pm feed from both breasts usually and in bed for the night.

Last 2 days he has refused the 6.30am feed and has been taking reluctantly the 11am feed only cause I kept insisting and even so it wasn't too much he ate.
Should I change the milk feeding schedule? How should it look like?
I'm worried it's not enough considering he only feeds from one breast at the time.

Thank you

It looks good to me.  Just keep offering and he'll probably take those feeds again soon. Could he be teething?

Are you offering water at meal times too?

Thank you!

You were right!
Last 2 days he had more milk and hasn't been so keen on solids, so iy's all good now.
He does have water at each meal yes.
As for teething, the 2 bottom ones have cut about 1 month ago and probably the 2 top ones are on their way.

Sounds good. Teething can temporarily put them off feeding so it could have been that if they are causing discomfort moving around in the gums.
