6 mo old waking teething and waking all night
« on: December 18, 2017, 05:44:04 am »
Hey there, so my 6 mo old, after lots of shh/pat sleep training was napping well and finally sleeping better at night..got three days of no wakings between dream feed and wake up time and then he started teething... and got a cold and cough so I’m often at a loss of what’s bothering him...mostly I’m assuming it’s the teethe since they lessened a day or two after his first tooth cut through...but then another couple awful nights and a second has cut through. He no longer goes down easy like he was before...he cries whether I put him in bed, hold him, rock him, and sometimes even nursing doesn’t help...what do you do at this point? Is it ok to nurse him to soothe him? I don’t want it to become a prop, but when he’s hurting I’m desperate. Do I keep trying to lay him down and pat through all the screaming? He’s exhausted too from all the waking up...I just don’t want to undo all the work I did before teething!

Yes, used pain meds at night but it didn’t seem to do much. He’s passed the stage of teething pain right now nd it’s slightly better as far as the screaming goes, but s still fighting sleep and waking a lot at night... ???
