12 month old suddenly waking multiple times per night
« on: December 28, 2017, 18:11:18 pm »
About 2 weeks ago my daughter began crying in the middle of the night.  Sometimes (mostly) she is fully standing up and crying hysterically.  She has put herself to sleep for the longest time so I’m not sure what is causing this. I tried picking her up, patting her back in the crib, laying on the floor next to the crib and none of these seem to help much.  Sometimes she will fall asleep in the chair or in bed but I don’t want that to become a habit. If she falls asleep in the chair I can usually put her back into the crib but other times she seems wide awake.  These episodes can last an hour or more and seem to happen 3-4 Nights per week.

She takes two 1 hour naps.  Bedtime is between 6:30-7:00 and she usually wakes up between 6:30-7am.

Hello - there can be a regression at the the 12 month mark and this might a symptom of it - could also be teeth - could also be that she wants to move to one nap? Could you try and cap one of the naps and then extend the other?

If it’s teeth, is there anything I can do to help besides Tylenol?

Yesterday she only had one 45 min nap and we still had a terrible night.  I’m just not sure what to do...

Honestly I think this is either a regression or teeth, there isn't much more you can do apart from pain killers an just being there to help her - they must really hurt!

You really want to extend one nap and then shortened the other until you can get rid of it altogether. With disrupted night sheen the OT will build up  :P

What is her EASY like?

yes I would try shortening the am nap and then bringing the 2nd one forward and trying to get a longer nap then x
