Question re nap skipping on days out
« on: April 06, 2018, 19:59:50 pm »
Just wondering what people views are in skipping naps on days out?
My dd is 32 months old and still naps daily for an hour after lunch. Sometimes it can be less depending on the night befores sleep.
Up to now she has always followed this routine in days out too and has napped in her buggy after lunch for anything between 45 mins and an hour.
Days out have been virtually none existent over the winter months so my question is, will I create an over tired monster if she skips her usual nap time on days out now the warmer weather is coming (well hopefully coming 🤦‍♀️😂).
I was thinking to just offer her the opportunity and if she really resisted to just go with the flow and allow a possible car cat nap or something to tide her over to bedtime.
I’m thinking more about when we go away in our caravan.
Thanks in advance x

I’d go with the flow and offer a 20 min CN in car later on and if it fails bring BT 30 mins earlier. To be honest DS1 had given up naps by then and DS2 is 26 months now and had first no nap day this week as was too excited with big bro being off school.x

Thanks, she’s just such a misery if she lacks her sleep 🤦‍♀️
She woke up early this morning, typical on a weekend 🙄. In a terrible grump already. I’m sure on holiday etc she’ll be too preoccupied to get too grumpy I guess 🤞
