2-1 transition, how much sleep does she really need??
« on: April 15, 2018, 14:52:30 pm »
My LO is 14 months and has been resisting a second nap for quite some time and was also waking up an hour earlier than usual.
The problem is I'm struggling to get her to nap for longer than 1.5 hours in the morning. I've tried WTS with no luck and I've tried putting her in later. Nothing has helped.
She does give me a full 12 - 12.5 hours at night though.
I would leave things as they are but she's so OT by bath and bedtime, I know she needs more sleep.

Any advice?

It ranges and depends on what time she wakes up.
Anywhere from 3.5 -4.5 hours after wake up

Generally on one nap you’d be looking for a 2 hour nap middle of the day and a 12.5/13 hour day, set WU, naps and BT can work well at this age x

hi again,
Thankfully my baby started taking longer naps, i had to get her used to being up for a little longer in the morning.
now she eats lunch before she goes in and i'll get at least an hour and a half and up to 2.5 hours!

my only concern is, no matter how long she sleeps at the 1 hour mark, she wakes up. she'll cry a bit, find her paci and eventually go back to sleep and sometimes she'll need help getting back to sleep.

i've tried W2S and it hasn't helped, maybe i'm doing it wrong?
any advice would be appreciated!

Hi it’s often just a phase but also maybe push the nap by 15 mins sometimes it’s a little UT that can cause it x
