Tiny nap robbing night sleep
« on: May 31, 2018, 19:14:57 pm »
Ok, so I have another thread going at the min as you can see.
Just want to put this out there. How can a tiny 30 min nap, make bedtime over an hour and a half later? Nap was apparently around midday at Nursery and she has been the worst ever in her whole life tonight for going to bed 😔

Taht's frustrating isn't it?
I've known some LOs who would refuse BT if they just accidentally nodded off in the car for 5 mins, that's why some people avoid cars and prams in the afternoon.
Someone once told me (I forget where they got their info from but it was related to adults not babies) that 20 min sleep in the day is equivalent to 1hr of night sleep. The 30 min nap would then be equivalent of the 1hr 30 refusal you've just experienced.

Hopefully it won't happen every day for you x

Thanks, that’s really interesting isn’t it?
She obviously woke at normal o’clock this morning and was as crabby as anything 🤦‍♀️
Sent her off to Nursery with strict instructions, no nap!!!

We did have the day from hell yesterday as she was obviously still tired after her antics the other night! She was falling asleep at the tea table!
Kept her going til bedtime and she had a good 11.5 hrs or so last night so fingers crossed she’s caught up a bit. Was a bit cooler last night which helped I think x
