Health issues leading to sleep regression
« on: October 24, 2018, 05:12:25 am »
My 3 year old was diagnosed with GHD a month ago. He now has a needle every night before bed. He has always always slept through the night since he was 6 months old since we used the baby whisperer to sleep train him. Ever since he started the needles (also had eye surgery at the same time) he refuses to go to bed and also wakes up in the night all the time. He says he scared and doesn’t want us to leave his room. I have no idea what to do. Do I use the cry it out method or do I re-sleep train! I am at a loss!

Hi there bless him and you sounds tough.
Definitely not the cry it out method, we don’t support that here and it will break the trust he has in you.
Has he just turned 3 if so it could coincide with developmental regressions that happen at birthdays and half birthdays.
I personally would try some walk in walk out just to reassure him you’re there, must be very unnerving for him having a needle to deal with until he gets used to it more x
