5mo old 20 min naps
« on: November 11, 2018, 17:26:04 pm »
So we have been on an EASY  routine since we gor home from the hospital. DD has always been a short napper 30-45 min. But always woke up a happy baby and slept through the night (except when she got sick) so I stopped fighting with her to make sleep longer. A couple of weeks I noticed that they weren’t following the routine at her daycare (she goes half time) and that they where confusing sleepiness with hunger and she was falling asleep while eating, and then re feeding an hour later (when she was actually hungry).  After several talks O finally got them to feed her at the correct time and keeping her awake for at least 20 min after eating (this was just this week).

Now my short napper has started wakiking 20 min into her nap and crancky and grumpy. The wake to sleep method didn’t help with the 30-45 min naps. I don’t know how it would work on a 20 min one.

Her routine goes like this:

Wake up at 6:50 on weekdays (7-7:15 on weekends)
E: 7:00
A: 7:20 - 7:45 (or 8)
S: 7:45 - 8:15 or 8:00 -8:30 (she falls asleep in the car on our way to daycare on weekends the sleep is until 9:00 or 9:30 ish usually for 30 min until now)
A: 8:30 -10:15 or 10:30
S: 10:15 - 11:00
E: 11:00
A: 11:20 - 1:00
S: 1:00 - 1:30 (in the car coming home)
A: 1:30 - 2:45
E: 2:45
A: 3:00 - 3:30
S : 3:30 - 4:00
A: 4:00 - 5:45
E: 5:45 - 6:00
S: 7:00

Sleep feeding at 10:00.

On weekends the S shifts a bit because we dont have the ride to get to day care so she goes down after 2hs of being awake or so.
