Disrupted Routine after holidays / please help
« on: January 07, 2019, 14:38:12 pm »
Hi! We went for 2 weeks to Ireland, where the routine we had was completly disrupted. We tried our best to keep it but the house was very loud and our 9 months old was contantly overstimulated. The result is tgat he no longers naps for more than 30 / 45 min (previuosly the morning nap was 2hours and afternoon nap was 45 min).
Our normal day would be :
7.30 awake + bottle
9.30 naptime (tried to extend the A time but henly sleeps 2 hours if we put him down within 2 hours)
11.30 awake and lunch
11.50 / 14.15 activity
14.30/14.45 naptime
15.15/15.30 awake and fruit
17.30 dinner
18.30 bathtime
19.00 bottle + bedtime
1/2 NW

Please, any advice would be great. We are exausted and also worried that things will never go back to normal again  :'(

I wouldn't worry about it. Now that you are back home, you can start following your routine once again. You would simply need to work through the overtiredness and his naps should lengthen. This might be a good time to work on extending his A times though. Average A time for his age is around 3- 4 hours. Good luck! Xx
