Hi,

Our routine was:
6.30 wu
12.30-14.30 nap
7.30 bt

LO transitioned from 2-1 before 12 months as I could never fit 2 naps in. Then we had it good with the above for 6 months so perhaps something has to change. He was ill pre Xmas then we were away now we are home we have still had 4 weeks+ of EMW between 4.50-5.30, he looks & is tired.

For a week I have cut nap to 1h40 pushed to start 12.45ish. (Before I woke him at 2 hrs). No change to wu times over a week. Should I cut to 1h30?

I don’t think there are any other factors, teeth possibly but he hasn’t had any appear in months.

Thanks in advance, lots of similar posts I see! X

Hi there I’d say your day looks good.
It could be the big 18 month sleep regression that’s kicking in.

Have you tried some early bedtimes as often overtired can make wake ups earlier x

Hello thank you for quick reply. Yes have done some earlier bt not loads earlier like 7.00pm. I thought you might say that about 18 month sleep regression!

What do you reckon cutting nap, I think perhaps he needs less then 6 months ago. He still isn’t walking we aren’t far off, I wonder if that might make him more tired when he gets going & we ride this out x

You could try 1.5 hours but keep your eye on OT behaviour see how it goes for a week.
