Dear Ladies,
My lo is 11 months old. He started sleeping independently since he was 4 months old with the precious help of Bec . His naps used to be short but his nights have been always nice, even in his early months he only woke up two times and breastfeed then kept sleeping. But nearly since he was 10 months he started night waking. About his 9.5 months old he stopped waking up in the night and l stopped nf. And in this time he didn't started eating his dinner meal instead of dinner meal he was eating yogurtand fruit. Even not eating a dinner he stopped NF. Last two weeks he started eating real dinner meal, as l read from the forum , l give light dinner for instance vegetables meal, potatoes meal and l finish his dinner time two hours before he goes to bed. Another thing l learn from theforum maybe his naps are too long and affect his night so l make him sleep in the morning long nap beween 1.5-2. Hour and his afternoon is a catnap35-45 min. In addition to this he used to wake up 07:00-07:30 in the mornin but now he started waking between 06:00-06:30 in the morning and cant go on sleeping. As a result, l have been trying to have his total nap about 2:45 hour, trying to give light food not to harm his stoma in the night but he wakes in the night and it takes at least one hour to put him sleep again. There is no teething. Our activity time 3.5 hour. Maybe seperation anxiety but in the day time no problem he can play on his own in the sallon and l do kitchen work no problem for him to see or not to see me. But at night he sleep on me in a fetus position then put him in his bed and he like waking up then l pat and sussh then he kept going . But this happen after at least one hour. So l think does this a seperation anxiety ?? Or he has a pain ?
I really wonder what is it ?
Yesterday night was really good.
He woke up at 6:30 but looks sleepy so l try to sleep him but cant, breastfeed- breakfast
10:10 sleep
11:22 woke up
Lunch- activity-snack-breastfeed
3:10 sleep give him chance to sleep because the morning nap was short
4:30 woke up
5:30 dinner- breastfedd-
8;00 sleep
8:55 scream for a minute go pn sleeping
10:15 cry but not settle on his own l go and pat him he keep sleeping it takes ten min itisperfect for us :)
05: 25 scream for two min then go on sleeping.
P7:30 l woke him up because today he has a vaccination.

I think our activity is longer then usual maybe it improves  night waking lets see

Is he walking yet? Sometimes as they get older they can sleep better with more physical activity and stimulation, rather than the amounts of time and food.

Teething can also cause pain at night, so that could also be a factor

Often when they are good and then stop it's normally environmental rather than routine, things like changes such as starting daycare, or teeth can be factors in causing changes. Also they feel stress just like we do and being alone at night things feel bigger. And Little things like a tooth can mess sleep and I wonder if the inconsistency is one year old molars

Hi again,
What the reason had been but now it is okay again for 5 days :) he goes to sleep at 08:00 and wake up at 6:30 in the morning. One or two small mantra crying in whole night. We have two naps in the morning maybe thedifference is that the second nap finishes at 4:30, at most. Thanks for your concern 🙏🏼

Is he walking now? Or doing something new... Probably loads of brain development going on at that time.

Hi again,
He will be 12 months old next fiday and he has not walked yet. I suspect if he is tired for the bed time. Yesterday he sleeps for two hours after 3 hours activity, then he slerps 1.5 hour after 3.5 hour activity, his last nap finishes at 5:00 in the afternoon then he goes to bed 08:15. He woke up at 05:40 for two min then went on sleeping and woke up at 6:40 in the morning.
Maybe this is normal ?
But l eonder that his bed time and activity time & naps long are sufficient for him ?
:)

So it's about 3.5 hours in the day and 10.5 overnight... Total 14 hours is about spot on for a 1 yo
