new even earlier EW pattern with nightmares and obnoxious behavior.

Hi my EW just got earlier.

He is waking up at 4 LOUDLY crying and shouting no - sounds like a nightmare. He has just started play school - turns 3 in March. And I have also just potty trained him.

But he gets up and insists on flapping around the house demanding one parent then the other, crying and generally making a big nuisance of himself and waking up the whole family.

First time I managed to calm him in my bed and put him back in his awake and let him fall asleep alone there again. But this time he DIDN'T GO BACK TO SLEEP.

ya that seems the obvious solution. But he falls asleep he seems to really still need to sleep. I will try shortening his nap? ... 45 mins? 1.5 hours or more causes the trouble.

Maybe try to delay the nap so He wakes from it about 5 hours from bedtime. Eg 1.15pm for a 45 min nap and 7pm bedtime.
