Help - Baby only dream feeds!
« on: February 13, 2019, 14:33:32 pm »
LO(15 weeks old) is on Prevacid for 2 weeks to treat reflux and we saw some improvement on the amount of milk intake comparing to before. However she won't take the bottle awake - the routine is more like Sleep, play, sleep(eat)sleep, play, sleep(eat)sleep, play, sleep(eat)sleep, play, sleep(eat)sleep......

Should I just stick to this instead of EASY?

I kept on trying to offer the bottle when she's awake but she just pushes it out. But when she sleeps she will eat 3-4oz nicely.

I exclusively pump and feed her from a bottle, and I've been off diary for a while now, didn't help though

Does anyone have any solution to this? unfortunately in the Baby Whisperer book all the babies eats whatever amount offered and the only problem to feeding is probably mom not having enough supply :(

Do you have a local lactation consultant, because it could be something to do with her suck and weird as it sounds a speech pathologist can help in that area.
Where I live there are early childhood clinics where you visit a nurse and they on refer you for things like not feeding.
To me this is something that Id look for professional help wit

I agree it sounds like a medical issue and I'd seek professional advice whilst just feeding her however and whenever you can.

How long were you dairy-free? It takes a couple of weeks to clear your body and then another couple to leave baby's.

I hippie things are improving x

Thank  you both for replying.

My LO's doctor has referred us to a GI specialist, We have been waiting for a week and still haven't heard from them.

At this point 90% of the milk intake is dream feed, she almost completely stopped eating while awake.

and also now she will be up for an hour, and only naps for an hour, so her schedule is more like a two hour ASASASAS with dream feed in the S every 3~4 hours.

When i was reading the book back during pregnancy, i never knew things could go so wrong. I feel very defeated.  :'(

Hi,
Just wanted to ask how did you solve the problem? My baby girl has reflux and it was severe for a while and she started refusing eating back then so I started dream feeding her. Now it looks like its her routine. She refuses to eat if she's not asleep.
