Hello,
My DD2 is turning 1yr today :)  The last few weeks I think the transition to 1 nap has started, but I am not sure if we are on the right track because no matter what, she wakes at 6am and I am worried about the few hrs of night sleep on 2nap days (9h45m -10h20m)

I am not waking her from the 1st nap, and 80% of times she wakes on her own from the 2nd nap, too.
In the mornings she is a little grumpy after waking up, this is why I think she may be still tired. (My other idea is that she may be hungry by the morning. Just figured it out this morning, so will try to give her more food for dinner)

We have 2 types of days normally:

1) 2 naps day:
 6:10 am WU
 4h A  6:10-10:10h
  1h55m  S  10:10-12:05h
 4h10m A   12-16:15h
 35m S 16:15-16:50h
 3 h 20 m A  16:50-20:20h
 S      20:20 - 6:10am

This gives us a 9h50h-10h ish night  (she STTN for the last 2 weeks  - I am so grateful for this  ;D)

2) 1 nap day - in case she wakes a little later or sleeps more than 2h for the 1st nap)
6:20 WU
4h5m A
1h55m S  10:25-12:20
5h20m A  12:20-17:40
S 12h20m from 17:40 to 6:10am

Any idea if anything is off with the A times (too long or short) that would prevent her sleeping a little more than 10hr at night on the 2nap days? Or is this normal?  ???

I lost my self-confidence to be frank, and need some reassurance on whether what I am doing on naps is ok or should change?

thanks
Nora

In the transition the night sleep doesn't always tack on on a day to day basis, it tends to lag. You might get some nights longer, but you may not. My DS2 never did consistently long nights 10hours was his norm from birth until about 6yo. He'd randomly do a 14 hour night when he dropped naps completely, but when he went to one nap he made that longer rather than adding to his night sleep.

Be mindful too it can take weeks (even months) for some babies to transition from 2 to 1 or 1 to none.

Also be mindful that 2 naps will mean they aren't as tired so need less total sleep in 24 hours. So I'd say it's all pretty much normal.

Yes stressing about the numbers isn't going to help her sleep better 😀
