10 month old meals/snacks/bottles

Hi all! When should I be thinking about dropping DS2’s final day time bottle and replacing with a snack?

Our current food schedule looks like this:

6:30 7oz bottle
7:30 breakfast
10:30 snack
12:00 lunch
13:30 bottle - has 4-6oz depending on mood.
17:00 dinner (but he’s HANGRY by 16:30!)
18:45 7oz bottle

From memory 3 milk feeds until 12 months is normal and because of the nutritional value it's definitely worth keeping them.

If it was me I'd probably drop the morning snack, move Lunch to 11.30 and have an afternoon snack
as he's hungry for dinner before your preferred time.

Really there is no wrong way to do it, it's down to balance of family needs and baby interests as to what you do. It certainly won't make long term difference to his eating as I had 2 completely different patterns with my 2 and the more 'standard' routine child is actually less of a good eater now he is older.

Thanks - that’s really helpful. I was thinking I needed to put an afternoon snack in somewhere because he’s getting hungry late afternoon but with the milk feed I wasn’t sure how to work it. With DS1 he dropped his milk feeds very early and obviously and it was a much more straight forward schedule haha.

I will try giving him an afternoon snack when he wakes from his pm nap, mid afternoons

Thanks.
