tips for introducing meat?

Can anyone share positive experiences for introducing your lo's to meat?
I've tried heinz baby food chicken - he hates that, closes his mouth up tight! And I tried some minced up salmon mixed with formula, and he just spit out the salmon bits. I've tried half a dozen times over the last two weeks but no luck.

Amything new I tried that I thought ahd a strong taste I put with other food she really loved first. So I personally did pureed meat mixed with her fav veg, like carrotts and courgettes.
I also read that if you cook the meat with veg in the first place it takes away the stronger meat taste a bit, to make it more palatable.

When you puree the meat add lots of water to it as it can be very dry.

We've had chicken, beef, trurkey, tuna, cod, prawns, plaice, haddock, mackerel. All to great success!

I mixed the meat jars with yogurt. I did that for both of us sake. I couldn't stand the smell of the meat from these jars. Chicken is the worst.

I made my own chicken (boiled it), then added carrots or sweet potatoes (the only veggies she seems to like!) at about 2 parts veggie to 1 part chicken.

Hi,
I cooked chicken with sweet potato and carrot and froze into icecube trays. Then started with one cube mixed with butternut squash more carrot and s. potato. Tried several times but dd wouldnt eat it. Based on a jar of chicken dinner that she had eaten a few times I added apricot and baby rice, still wouldnt eat it, one day added yougurt and hey presto she ate it. After 3 days of same lunch I tried her without the yougurt and she ate it :-). Going to try meat now, just wondering what fruit to add, probably plum :-)
Anyway just keep trying, it took us about 2 months of trying on and off to get her to eat chicken.

I puree chicken, then mix it with a fruit like pear or apple.  she loves this.

I skipped the puree meat and offered shredded chicken and small bites of ground beef at 8 months. He loved it.
