Naps totally erratic

I have tried to get my 9 month old into a routine for naps but she is all over the place!

If she naps in am then she does not sleep well in the pm so night time is terrible, and if I push her through she is over tired and my efforts to get her to self soothe are fruitless

if she has a bad night like last night she wants lots of day sleep (will this affect tonight?) and if a good night she will go through until midday

I am finding it very difficult to get her into a good daytime routine

Lets see if we can help.  But more info would be helpful:

-Can you post a typical day?
-when you say "does not sleep well", what do you mean exactly?
-does she fall independently?

Have you read Tracy's new book as she has devoted an entire chapter on how to get your LO on a routine, sleep and sleep problems along w. techniques and solutions.

If you can't get out to the get book right away this interview w/ Tracy is also excellent to get you started.
