My 9.5 month old dd has started screaming hysterically at night and as i have recently started PU/PD I dont know if its that or teeth (she has no teeth yet !!) last night I PU and held for 1.5 hours while she screamed and sobbed (orajel and tylenol used)
My concern is that if I stop the PU/PD and go to rocking her while she is going through this she will detect the inconisistency and create when I reinstate PU/PD (everyone stresses the importance of consistency)
Any suggestions would be great

consistency is important, but sometimes if a child is sick or teething, it has to go out the window. And then you just get back on track afterwards. Try ibuprofen rather than tylenol, and if that doesn't help it may not be teething.

I read somewhere that babies get the spooks (nightmares) I think that was around 1 yr though, but they said that your baby may scream out!!
