Dream feed or not?
« on: July 29, 2005, 00:19:24 am »
My six month old son (spirited, touchy) has about 4-5 feeds a day of either solids or bottle. At night he goes to bed about 7 PM. I've been dream feeding him since he was born. I think they've worked okay- problem is he wakes up from them and I think he wakes up again during the night  because of the earlier disturbance from the dream feed. He always wakes up from them. I want to get rid of the DF but 7 PM seems to be too early for him to have his final meal. He wakes up screaming at 3 PM.

Then again, last night I dreamed fed him and he only ate 3 oz and STILL woke up screaming at 3. He ate a full bottle at 3.

So how can I get him off the DF if he eats last at 7 and isn't really interested in eating at the DF. Is 7 too early for a last feed- he does pretty well if I feed him last at 8:30 but I can't keep him awake until then.

Sometimes he'll take a catnap from 5:30 and it lasts till 8 so I luck out then because I feed him for the night. But sometimes he wakes up at 6:30 and is ready for bed. So do I DF or not-since he's not so into it and wakes up from it?

Thanks!

maybe you can try upping his solids and liquids during the day and try no df.  have you already tried this?
