Yep - we had/have a regular spitter here and he's 7months! Was a lot worse in the begining though - bibs, bibs, bibs and plenty of burp cloths hovered to catch it. I've ended up with it everywhere - carpet, clothing, hair, and the worst is the down the cleavage shot -YUCK!
It never seemed to bother DS until he was about 9weeks old and then he began to get fussy - the acid had begun to burn his oesophagus (listen for a frequent dry cough too) so the Doc put him on Gaviscon. We did that until about 5.5-6months. He still spits up occasionally but nowhere near as often and it doesnt seem to bother him either. Make sure you check out the Reflux info on the Health board.
General reflux - spitting up - is extremely common in babies but generally clears up in the first couple of months and doesn't seem to bother the LO - it's if it continues for ages and appears to be hurting them that you need to do something about it. I hope your case falls into the first group!! Meantime stock up on bibs, try not to overfeed your LO or feed them too frequently and be prepared for plenty of washing LOL!
