We just dropped it and she did great. Granted I don't know that she was all that attached to it. I was worried she wouldn't go to sleep, I was worried she wouldn't sleep through, but she did both. The first few nights she just talked a bit longer than normal, but then went right to sleep. One thing you could try though is to add a bedtime story after that bottle (before or after your cuddle) for a few weeks and then when you drop the bottle, she'll be used to the story being the last thing (or atleast in place of the bottle before the cuddle). That's what we did with dd. She learned that story was the last part of the routine so when we skipped the bottle and went straight to story, she knew what to do. Some people simply replace that bottle with a sippy (or whatever she's using for meals), but at some point you want to brush her teeth before her last milk of the night so that's why we just went for dropping it and she did great. You could always try it a few nights and see what she does... Good luck!
