what method do I use for 11 week old?
« on: August 11, 2005, 16:18:19 pm »
We are really struggling with DD naps suddenly.  She used to go to sleep after a little reassurance of patting/shing.  For the past two days she is fighting sleep like crazy during the day.  She will not sleep and has been sleeping 13 hours at night because she is exhausted.

She is 11 weeks old today.  Should we be doing PU/PD or patting/sh?

Also any advice on doing patting/sh without killing your back?

HI there,

At 11 weeks pat/shush is the best method to aid babies to sleep as PU/PD can overstimulate them. There is a fantsatic post on doing pat/shush here: http://www.babywhisperer.com/forum/pat-shush-for-babies-under-3-months-old-vt26672.html  which talks you through what to do!

I hope that helps
Dee
