Spoon/Utensil Use?

At what age did your lo start using a utensil to feed her/himself?  My lo is 10-1/2 months, and shows no sign of figuring out how to use a spoon.  I'm not worried, just curious if there's something I could do to help.  Same goes for sippy cup.  She'll use it if I coax her, but if I set it on her highchair, she usually lets it fall on the floor.  Don't think she's particularly thirsty at mealtimes.  Thanks if you have any tips!

Adrian started showing interest in the utencials only couple of weeks ago. If he a spoon or a fork with food is put in his hand, he will put it in he mouth. He is trying get the food himself but no success there. Again, up until 2 weeks he couldn't care less about them.

He also wouldn't take sippy cup until a month or so, until he started going in daycare and seeing other kids do it. He is still not very proficient with it, but will take it and try to drink from it.
