Sleeping is a battle
« on: August 18, 2005, 08:31:16 am »
Can someone please give me a few tips on how to get my 3-month old to settle at nap and sleep times. I sit with her in a dark room until she is sleepy and pat her back. She is fine with this, but when I put her in her crib, she is wide awake. This results in me stroking her head and trying to calm her down for upto 1 hour! She never has any long naps during the day and this means she is very grumpy by the time she goes to bed. I would love to give her a bath every night as a wind down but as she has eczema, I have been told only to bath every 2-3 days. Getting her to go to sleep is a constant battle. Anyone else experienced this and got any good tips?

Lizzie,

Mum to Evie - 3 months :D

how are things going now??  if you are still having trouble can you post what a "typical" or average day looks like - how long is she awake for etc. and what is her temperment?
