So what do you feed a vegetarian on a veggie strike? I guess bread? Dairy?
Are pickles vegetables??
Isn't that too funny?? This child would eat bread all day, every day if I let him. He eats eggs, waffles, PB&J, hummus sandwiches, ravioli with tomato sauce, cheese sandwiches, any kind of beans with rice, and mac-n-cheese. And nearly all fruits. And he loves split pea soup. I have gotten very good at hiding veggies. My best best are carrots and spinach pureed into tomato sauce, cauliflower pureed into mac-n-cheese, and carrots pureed into apple sauce. I have been using a carrot-apple juice mix and Vruit juices. I even froze some into popsicles. Devious, I know. I even threatened to make carrot ice cream, which I might still try. Who knows, with a little brown sugar and cinnamon, it might not be bad. They made brocolli ice cream on Iron Chef last night. so why not?
He just started this veggie strike about 4 months ago. I just keep putting veggies on his plate and not make too big a deal out of it hoping he will eat one.
