Hello All

I was wondering when is a good time to stop giving my son a dream feed? Also, how do I go about doing it?

hey there. Tracey recommends stopping around 7/8 months. definitely wait till the 6month growth spurt is well and truly over. then reduce the feed by an ounce (or a few minutes if you`re bf) every 3 nights, and bring the feed forward a little (EG 10PM TO 9.45PM TO 9.30PM ETC) every few nights. you`ll end up being down to just a very small feed at a pretty early time, and then you can just drop it altogether (we stopped it when dd was down to just 2.5 ounces and it was clear that the feed was then just disturbing her sleep for no good reason). if you do it this way you shouldn`t have any problems with night wakings/early wakeup..if that happens, just take it a bit more slowly. hope this helps...
