what is the symtom of teething?

last night my 7 month old DS is waking almost every hour. cry for a few minutes, back to sleep.

he wakes early from his 1st nap, usually 1.5 hour, this morning only 1 hour. not hungry, only takes 2oz of milk mid afternoon, reluctant to eat his solid.

he is active and alert, don't seem any discomfort ...... act happy most of his awake time.

and he goes to sleep without a beep ........

It depends...sometimes it was obvious while Tyler was awake. He'd be grumpy, clingy, or chewing on his hands a lot. Other times, he'd be perfectly fine, but sleep would be wacky. That's when I'd bring out the Motrin or Tylenol...if either of those made a difference in his sleep, then I could usually assume teeth were bothering him. If not, I knew it was something else.

Of course, sleep and eating always go crazy right before Tyler gets sick, so be on the lookout for those symptoms as well. HTH!

What you're describing is exactly what happens when Megan's teething and I also break out the Motrin for overnight!  She also sometimes starts gnawing on my shoulder or biting me while bf'ing and she'll also sometimes grab her head or face suddenly when playing and sometimes cry.

Nasty business, this teeth production... :cry:

actually sam already got 2 bottom teeth 
which is the next one?

he doesn't let me check his gum at all, and i worry he will bite me ..haahaa.

gianna got her two bottom teeth no problem.  but next came the two top ones.  ( i think that is the normal order) she was a terror for one whole week.  i gave her motrin or tylenol before bed every night and that seemed to help.  you can try that.
