Underbite causing chewing difficulties?
« on: August 24, 2005, 21:21:59 pm »
Our ds is 14 months and still has difficulty chewing many foods.  He has a slight underbite and I was wondering if anyone had heard that this may cause chewing/swallowing issues.  One of his aunts had a similar problem as a toddler due to an underbite.  Any information would be great.

I had a slight underbite too and I haven't heard that it caused any chewing difficulties - this may not be of help so I'm only posting it as you haven't had any other replies yet!

Thanks for your relpy.  My gut feeling is that this is not why he is only chewing certain foods well.  Good to know you had an underbite without any problems. :D
