How many of you let your toddler sleep with you?

How many of you let your toddler sleep with you?  My ds is 2.5 and I can't keep him in his room at night unless a gate him in.  In which case he screams his head off.  I want to let him cry a few nights and hopefully be done with it, but my dh disagrees.

Letting him cry it out is likely to give him further fear of his bed/bedroom.  I would suggest picking him up and placing him in his bed everytime he gets out and comes to you.  The first few times you can say something to him, like "It's nighttime, time to sleep in Nick's Bed" but stop saying it after about 4-5 times and place him into his bed silently without even eye-contact.  This could take a few nights to crack, but you will be teaching him that it's pointless to attempt getting into your bed as he'll just be moved back into his own, and he'll stop trying then.  Just remember to be silent and consistant.
