Wake to sleep - how?
« on: August 26, 2005, 08:12:45 am »
I have recently moved and cant find my copy of Tracy's books anywhere! Nightmare!

Anyway. I am having a trauma getting my son to stay asleep for more than 30 miins at nap time (he is then cranky again 45mins after he wakes and I have to give in and put him down for another nap!).I want to try wake to sleep, but I'm not sure how to do it.

I did try it yesterday but he just woke up even earlier than usual and wouldnt go back!

What is the best way of getting this technnique to work?

Thanks

Kate

how old is your lo?  have you tried PU/PD at all to extend the naps?

Personally, when I tried the wake-to sleep I had problems.  I went to PU/PD method and am now having better results.  (the crying was hard but it relly is worth it in the long run)  I havn't had to do it for almost a whole day and a half now so it's getting better.
