It worked to extend naps!!!!!!
« on: August 29, 2005, 01:17:45 am »
I took the advice on here to extend naps.  I went into my daughter's room around 40 minutes and waited for her to stir.  I placed my hands on her firmly.  I did this for about 15 minutes off and on as she continued to jolt.  Then I left the room.  I went back in again at another 40 minutes and did the same thing.  She slept for 2 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Before this she had been sleeping 30-45 minutes MAX and waking up cranky.

Does anyone know how long it may take before she transitions on her own?

I did that too, and it's worked most of the time.  I too am wondering how long I will have to "intervene" before she just starts sleeping thru on her own.

Great!  You are making progress, i would give it a week and they see how they do on their own.

Keep in mind that nap training is harder then night sleep training - but you are on your way!!

Happy BW'ing
