First day on EASY
« on: August 30, 2005, 09:06:24 am »
Hello, just wanted to introduce myself....

I'm Rhianna, first time mum to Isabelle (5 months).  Today is my first day on the EASY plan.

I currently breastfeed and seem to still be doing this quite a bit.  Isabelle was sleeping through from 7pm-8am from 9 weeks but in the last 3/4 weeks has started waking up to 5 times a night.  She also only naps for 45 mins (if I'm lucky) morning and the same in the afternoon.

I'm hoping (if I'm tough enough to keep with the plan) that I can get her back to sleeping through, a couple of good naps and less breastfeeds.

Wish me luck!

Thanks. :?

Hi Rhianna

Good luck with introducing EASY, I started when Crystal was 2 weeks old and has made my life much easier (scuse the pun).
Perhaps Isabelle is having a growth spurt? this might explain the waking during the night? Crystal went through this around six months and I found what was disturbing her sleep appeared to be a stomach ache from the extra milk. As soon as the extra milk wasn't needed she went right back to sleeping through the night again.
I hope this helps you in some way... once again good luck.

Sandie :D

Hi Rhianna and Isabelle and welcome!
Just wanted to say good luck and hang in there! It won't be any easy journey (what?? EASY isn't easy???  ) but it will be so worth it in the end.
We started Molly on EASY/BW at 7 weeks and it took awhile to get the hang of it but it is wonderful and if I had to do it over again (even with all the tears and frustration) I certainly would!
You were tough enough to carry little Isabelle for 9 months and give birth to her...YOU CAN DO THIS!
When you feel like giving up, come here and post and listen to others advice and experiences. You will know you are not alone and that you will get through it.
