Best Formula out there? Please help!
« on: August 31, 2005, 00:17:56 am »
Hi my son is 7 months old and I want to give him the best formula out there, I was giving him breastmilk and froze a lot to continue giving him for another 2 to 3 months but now he doesn't like the taste after it's been thawed out. It tastes bitter and disgusting! I can't even add it to his meals cause they will taste bitter too.  I don't know what to do.

Hello.  I used Infamil Lipil with Lindsey when she was younger and I was having to supplement.  I have heard that Carnation Good Start with DHA and the comfort proteins is good too.  I hate that about your milk that got ruined.  Hopefully your lo will take to the formula ok.

That is so strange...  My milk did the same thing also when we thawed it.  We use Good Start and found it to be the most gentle on Nathan's tummy.  (The proteins in it are partially broken down.)  Sorry about the milk thing - what a pain after all that pumping...   :(

Hunter didn't like any Nestle products, including the formula.  He likes the Enfamil A+, which has the AHA and ARA (???) in it.

We use Enfamil A+ as well.  It's enriched with DHA & ARA Omega 3 & 6 fats which are found in breast milk.  I've heard that Carnation Good Start is good too, and gentle on the tummy (and I think it might even be a bit cheaper!)

I'm in the UK and use HIPP as it's organic. My daughter is thriving on it :)
