Enjoying breastfeeding
« on: August 31, 2005, 00:23:33 am »
I just wanted to write a quick post to say that I am settling back into my breastfeeding self as a month ago I was thinking maybe I should wean for my sanity.  The last weeks we have gone from 5 to 4 feeds and for some reason this has made our feeding time so much more enjoyable.  She has also started to make this time "conversation time with mama," and will "talk" to me, coo, reach out, etc.

I think as she was getting older and doing a bunch of new things I missed that special need and nursing bond.  She also actively tries to nurse again and I feel needed...for some reason I felt that slipping away but lately it has surged and I feel closer to my daughter  :D

Thanks for the encouragement for continuing on everyone.   :)

Oh, great news! I am so happy for you  :D . Nursing is really something special and becomes more enjoyable once you go through a rough beginning and settle down a little.

Way to go!
