How to structure day?
« on: August 31, 2005, 16:46:26 pm »
My lo will sleep around 12 hours at night with a Df and 1-2 feeds at night.  I am not sure how to structure her naps and how long they need to be with this overnight sleep.  I read that 14.5 hours is how much sleep they should be getting at her age but don't know how that fits into our day.
Her schedule now:
7am- E
7:30-8:45- A
8:45-9- wind down
9-10:30- S
11- E
11:30-1:30- A
1:30-2(usually  :( )- S
3- E
3:30-5:30- A
5:30-6- bedtime routine
6/6:30- Asleep for the night
10:30- she wakes for dreamfeed.

Matthew's Mommy:
You gave me advice on the "back on track" board.  I am having better luck with the naps but, am not sure if I should space them further apart?  She is REALLY tired in the evenings so her bedtime is rather early.  The past couple of nights she wakes at 2:30am and then at 6:30am for feeds.  I know she should be sleeping longer at night but is eating alot during those feeds.  SHould I work to extend the naps or to extend the activity??

Is the afternoon nap a short one? It looks like it's 30mins.

Yes, I am working to extend that one.  However, I could leave it short and add another around 5pm to back up her bedtime to 7pm??
