i just wanted to share something i learned about my ds this week. He's 16 weeks old and whenever I'd start the naptime routine, he would start crying. I'd try to read to him, rock him, sing but he would just BAWL!
Well.. I finally just decided that our naptime routine would be for me to say, "Ok it's naptime." and then I put him in his crib with his Nuk and a blankie to cuddle with. And it worked!
he is not a cuddler
but he is going down for naps a lot easier. And I now notice that when I am holding him belly to belly at naptime, he kind of pushes me like he's saying "You can skip this part, mom. Just let me sleep!"
And he also likes to hold my finger as he's falling into dreamland.
I'd love to see more ideas for fussmonsters!!
