Fussy with thrush
« on: September 02, 2005, 13:58:28 pm »
Anyone else notice their lo's got very fussy when they had thrush?  Noel is pretty much an angel baby.  But the thrush came back again and now she is so much fussier!  I feel so bad for her.  Once the doctor's office gets their act together hopefully we can get her prescription called in.  But until then... any suggestions?
It wasn't as hard the 1st time around b/c I hadn't gotten used to her being such an angel.   I just don't know how to help her through this.  :(

You know, I could swear that my lo gets fussy with it as well. I was told that they have no side effects so I kept trying to think of something else but if you think it too.................. Anyway, I'm so sick of battling with it. I got the Newman's ointment and still can't quite kick it. It's not very bad though. No pain but just annoying.

Newman's ointment alone will not kick it. You must use it in conjunction with Gentian Violet or other methods by Dr Newman. I been there done that. Gentian Violet in my son's mouth with a qtip 1 time per day for 2 days fixed it for us. I also think that thrush makes babies misrable, although every doctor disagrees with me on that.
